EARTHQUAKE NEWS UPDATES

Regular updates are coming in from our people in Part-au-Prince, with some exciting developments.  Check our blog daily!

Due to limitations on our web site, it is hard to keep current with earthquake news.  In order to get you news faster, we have established a blog that you can access here .  It will be updated as quickly as possible after any new information is received.  Please go to the blog for the most up to date news.

Meanwhile our relief work is ongoing, but we need more funds to help more people. The reach of SFH has gone beyond just the school and the orphanage during this crisis.  The thousands of people in the neigborhoods of Cite Militaire and Village Solidarité where we work are looking to us for help.  We believe it is our responsibility to do what we can for them.

If you want the funds to go specifically to earthquake relief, make sure you mark "Relief Fund" in the check's memo section. 

Please be in prayer for all the citizens of Haiti as well as for those providing relief during this crisis.  Most reports indicate that the people are dealing with all this as well as possible given the conditions.  The Haitians are a courageous people and deserve our support.

Servants for Haiti provides practical assistance to an orphanage and school in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti.

Kingdom Kids orphanage houses about 30 abandoned children from birth through grade school.  Servants for Haiti funds regular meals and medical care for those children.  In the process, we provide employment for child-care workers.

Our other main project is supporting a school in the Village Solidarité neighborhood of Port-au-Prince. The school, College Jean Rigaud Antoine, hosts pre-school through middle school classes. In addition to a student sponsorship program, which supplies food and education for children at the school, we regularly send teams to continue construction of the school building.

Eventually we hope to help high school graduates continue their education into college, trade school, or apprenticeships by providing scholarships, grants, loans, and other assistance.
